Okay so its December y’all! Maybe your clothes are fitting a little tight and you’ve eaten way too many gingerbread cookies! It can be overwhelming to even think about starting a new workout program! BUT I wanted to share some stories of some AMAZING women that I have been connected to over the past couple of months and they are ROCKING their workout programs!! I am soooooo proud of each and every one of these ladies!! There is no perfect time to start, the time is NOW!! Do it even when you dont feel like it! I hope these stories can bring you motivation and inspiration, just like they inspire me 🙂
Meet Cassie Johnson, a busy mom of SIX y’all, and she has lost over 20 lbs!!! I love that she has learned a healthy lifestyle that her WHOLE family can be a part of!! After starting her journey, she knew she wanted to help other busy moms too, now she is a part of my Coaching Team and is helping women EVERY month!! I am SOOOOO proud of her!! Here’s what Cassie has to say:
My story of the 21 day fix program is a little different in that it didn’t start as a weight-loss program. I begin the program after giving birth to my sixth child and being on bed rest for approximately four months. After the birth of my daughter not only did I need to lose weight but the muscles in my legs and midsection had become atrophied from being on bed rest and I was unable to function during daily life. Being on my feet for any period of time caused extreme pain in multiple areas. After going to the doctor to ensure that everything actually was OK I was left with the choice to wait it out and hope things got better or to try and rebuild the damage that have been done during the extended bed rest. I began looking around at programs for after you have a baby. Many of the programs that are on the market are focused solely on weight loss. However after you have a baby weight loss is only part of the picture. As moms we need to be able to be strong enough to care for our children. I started researching programs that would allow me to rebuild the muscle that was lost and that brought me to the 21 day fix. Doing this program with a focus on rebuilding muscle allowed me to have great success. It allowed me to focus on healthy eating for better function in life. Eating for strength and endurance and stamina while fueling my body. This allowed my body to have what was needed to rebuild those muscles. I didn’t have to worry about dieting or feeling deprived even while breast-feeding. My body was able to recover and rebuild. Through sticking with the program I have lost over 20 pounds. However, I have gained so much more. I can play ball in the yard with my boys. I can run in a 5K with my daughter. I’m able to lift up the little children and hold them and play with them. I’m have the stamina to cook and clean and be mommy . The 21 day fix is much more than a weight loss program!
Next up meet Kat Howle, busy teacher, vegetarian and literally the sweetest girl I know!! Kat and I went to high school together and have stayed connected over the years. Social media is an amazing thing isn’t it?! Being a teacher Kat knew she wanted to make time to workout but she couldn’t spend hours in the gym!! Insert the 21 day fix, in ONLY 30 minutes a day AT HOME, she has transformed her body and is helping others along the way!!!

I’ve never truly been comfortable in my own skin. I was a dancer and high school and college, and although I loved and enjoyed it, I felt even more critical of my body and constantly compared it to other’s.
Since college I haven’t given much thought to clean eating and exercise. I’ve been a vegetarian for 9 years, but I wasn’t balancing my nutrition the way I should. I also struggled to stick with a fitness program. Didn’t want to pay for a gym membership, so I tried workout DVDs at home. When I wasn’t getting the results I wanted I made the excuse that I would never achieve my goal body type. Muscles and a flat stomach just weren’t in my genes, I thought. But that was an excuse I needed to move past.
After following Alesha’s fitness story, I decided to join a challenge group. Buying the 21 Day Fix program and including Shakeolgy in my daily nutrition was the BEST investment I’ve made for my health, both physically and mentally. After losing 15 lbs (so far) following the 21DF I have gained, not only the body I thought I couldn’t have, but the self confidence to go with it. The belief in myself that I could take on a long term physical challenge and achieve my goals. I’m still on my “journey”. I’m not perfect. I’ve missed plenty of workouts and eaten junk food I swore I wouldn’t ever eat again. But the beauty of the 21 Day Fix is that it’s a lifestyle, not a diet. It’s all about BALANCE. And I know how to balance, making life all the more fulfilling!
Next, meet Nicole Schmidt! Nicole and I connected when she decided to do one of my 21 day fix Facebook groups! She immediately started encouraging everyone, sharing her own experience and showed SO MUCH determination!! I KNEW Nicole would do amazing!!! And I am now so proud to say she is a part of Team Rise as a coach helping others achieve their fitness goals too! My weight loss journey has been slow, but successful. I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember, and though my dad regularly worked out to stay in shape for his job, we never ate great. This continued in my teens and really spiraled out of control when I was a junior and senior in high school. Food was what dictated most of my friends’ gatherings. Wednesday ‘Free Pie Night’ at a local diner and Saturday was usually half price apps at another restaurant. Throw movies and popcorn and morning doughnut runs into the mix and you have a good idea of what my eating habits were in high school. After graduating high school, I went to community college and lived at home and that is when I finally started to take action. I started eating better and watching what I ate. This process was slow, but I was seeing results. During my sophomore year I had to take a fitness class which required working out on my own time. When I started exercising I saw quicker results. Fast forward to graduating college last winter. I suddenly had a lot of free time and didn’t know what to do with it. I did the Whole 30 for one month and couldn’t get myself to give up so much, but I did appreciate the clean eating idea. Late Spring I contacted Alesha about joining her 21 Day Fix group after seeing her continually talk about her experience. I was ready to have a challenge and loved the idea of having someone coach me through my journey. I LOVED my first round of the 21 Day Fix! With the workouts, meal plans, and Shakeology I was feeling the best I ever had. I am one that gives up quickly if I don’t see results. At day 21 I was discouraged when I stepped on the scale because I didn’t lose more than 2 pounds. But then I measured myself. I lost over 7 inches, mostly around my mid-section. This was the satisfaction I needed. I knew that I wanted to continue to drink Shakeoloy and complete more rounds of the 21 Day Fix, so I signed up as a Coach to keep me motivated. I have not only continued to keep the motivation, but have also helped people find healthier lifestyles. Becoming a Beachbody Coach has been one of the most rewarding things (physically, spiritually, and mentally) for me. I have lost about 60 pounds since 2011. I never did measurements then, but I’ve gone down 8 pant sizes since then!
Aren’t these ladies amazing?! And they are just a FEW of the amazing people I get to not only WORK WITH but we get to do LIFE together!! We support each other encourage each other, and they motivate ME so much in my own journey!!
