2015 Recap – 2016 GOALS

OMG its almost a NEW year y’all!!! How did that happen?! I still feel like it was just Summer! This year FLEW by and I wanted to reflect on some of the awesome moments of 2015! There is something about a year coming to an end that makes me want to reorganize and set NEW goals for the upcoming change!

Some top moments from this year! Annabelle turned ONE!! I threw her a Flamingo Fiesta First Birthday and it was seriously so much fun!! I’m kind of obsessed with parties and crafting so combining those for my sweet little girl was amazing! Stressful LOL bust mostly amazing 🙂 To see more about her first birthday CLICK HERE.

Another TOP moment from 2015, I completed the Jamie Eason program for the SECOND time!
As you guys know I did the Jamie Eason Live Fit program back in 2013 and lost 30 lbs! You can read about my original experience HERE. I then found out I was pregnant with Annabelle, and used the workouts and food to have a healthy pregnancy! Very quickly after I had her, I knew I wanted to lose the baby weight and get back some muscle tone, so I decided to give the program another shot!

After completing the program (I lost 22 lbs) I felt GREAT, BUT because the workouts are so gym intensive, I was very stressed about spending 1.5 – 2 hours in the gym every day! I LOVE lifting weights and following a program BUT I knew I wanted to find something that would be a little bit more family friendly to my new mom schedule! After I finished the Jamie Eason program, I felt great but I fell back into some old habits of eating junk food and not being consistent with my workouts! A few pounds later and some very tight jeans LOL I started looking for a NEW program! Insert Beach Body!! I started doing research on home workout programs and I found out about the 21 day fix! Its a 30 minute (3 week) workout program that is meant to be repeated and be the jump start to a healthy lifestyle!

I really felt like it would be the perfect fit for my busy schedule! So I decided to give it a go! The other BIG aspect of trying the 21 day fix, was my decision to also become a Coach! This was HUGE for me!!! This is probably the BIGGEST change of 2015! Theres so MANY reasons why I became a coach, but mainly I LOVE helping people!! If this girl who has struggled with body image and weightloss for years, who is still learning and still striving to be better, can HELP just one person, than its worth it! What I found from having my blog and social media is that there was SOOOOO MANY people just like me!! Women who struggled with PCOS and hormone imbalances, women who just wanted to be healthy and not focus so much on the scale! I knew if I could share what I had learned in an easy to follow, REAL way, then I would be a successful Coach!

Beach Body has changed my LIFE in so many ways!! Let me be clear, I was SUPER hesitant, I didnt want to push products on people, I didnt want to lose followers, I never wanted to put sales or money over people! I prayed about this decision, I talked to David about it for months, and at the end of the day WE decided as a FAMILY that is was a GOOD opportunity and what I believe God had placed in my heart! Little did I know that ONE decision would help me grow in so many ways! I started finding a balance of motherhood and fitness. I started connecting with other positive women with the same mindset, I developed deeper more meaningful relationships with my social media friends! I started building a TEAM of other women who wanted the same things! I became a Diamond Coach, and was rewarded for all my hard work!!

The BIGGEST thing I have gained from Beach Body is a LOVE and a PASSION for people!! If  you know me personally you know I have the biggest heart and I want to help EVERYONE! I will go above and beyond for people, BUT that can be a downfall when you have SOOOO MANY People reaching out to you! What Beach Body has allowed me to do, is really connect with just a FEW women every month through my Facebook groups and I can really focus on those women and pouring my heart and knowledge into them! It’s given me a system, a plan, GOALS, not only for my business, my fitness but my blog as well! I have basically been winging this whole social media thing for the past 5 years! LOL But Beach body has allowed me to use it to HELP others with a purpose! It truly has been a blessing for me and my family and I am so thankful for that!

So all of 2015 has got me thinking! What do I want for next year? What should I reach for? What can I improve upon?
I have some specific goals like, complete a couple new workout programs, start my clean eating e-book, I’d love to continue training my team and help them grow their business too! But besides those things, I’d LOVE to really DREAM BIG! Have BIG goals and then have a plan of action to reach them! These are some of my TOP goals for 2016!

This applies really to my fitness, because my weight has fluctuated SOOOO MUCH over the past year! I will do great for MONTHS then totally fall off the wagon! AND YEP its my “job” to workout and I still struggle! So next year I am going to focus on consistency!

-Be stronger than my excuses
This one is self explanatory! Maybe I’ll watch a little less Netflix and read a couple more books! I want to push myself when I feel like giving up!

-STOP the cycle of Emotional Eating!
Oh man, this is a TOUGH one!!! I have struggled with emotional eating my whole life! It really didn’t become a “problem” until we started trying to get pregnant! And the stress of failed fertility treatment was too much for me, and my outlet was food! I have learned to adjust with clean eating, BUT this is still an area of my life that I want to really get control of!

One of the BEST things about 2015 was just learning to LAUGH and enjoy the moment with my daughter! I have had ALOT of things going on this year, reopened my Etsy store (party invites) SHOP HERE, running my beach body business, and blogging! Sometimes I felt like I was just treading water, trying to find a balance! But at the end of the day, I learned to just do the best I can, and the rest can wait! Sometimes that meant ignoring emails, putting clothes on our head and dancing around my daughters room! LOL I learned to not take life too seriously and to enjoy those crazy moments! Being a mom is the HARDEST thing I have ever done, but OMG is it amazing!! I love Annabelle more than I ever thought I could love someone! She is the highlight of my LIFE and I love seeing the bond that David has with her too! We are truly blessed with this spunkly little girl!

A ll in all, this has been an AMAZING year and I am loving sharing my life with you all! Oh and this little ole blog has had over 1.3 MILLION views this year!! SAY WHAT?!     I just have to say that I totally love your goal #2. It speaks to me. I’ve seen motivational quotes before and what not but what you said rings so true for me!! Be stronger than my excuses!! I am totally going to work toward that in all aspects of my life. Not just weight loss. 🙂 Thanks Alesha for putting yourself out there and I can’t wait to work with you more in the 21 day fix group!!!
